L-Carnosine is a dipeptide (two amino acids) commonly present in organs and tissues such as the brain, heart, skin, muscles,kidneys, and stomach. L-carnosine can activate cells in human body and anti-aging through two mechanisms: inhibiting saccharification and protecting our cells from free radicals. The consequence of saccharification is that the cross-linking of sugar molecules and proteins will be uncontrolled (sugar molecules will stick to proteins), cell function loss and incomplete gene combination will accelerate aging. L-Carnosine can also stabilize cell membranes and reduce brain lipid peroxidation, thereby preventing nerve and brain degeneration.
