What is Devil claw extract?
1. Harpagophy-turn procumbent (commonly known as Devil's Claw) grows in the Kalahari savanna of southern Africa, including seasonal forests in Namibia, parts of the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Angola, and Zimbabwe. Crocus sativus, which belongs to the same family as sesame, is a perennial herb with multiple annual stolons growing from a fleshy taproot and tubers growing from the lateral roots. At the beginning of the rainy season, the nodal taproot grows creeping branches in the dry season, the secondary rhizomes grow horizontally on the main root to store water. It has large hook-shaped fruit with several rows of curved arms, each with a number of backward curved barbs, and the fruit is up to 15 cm in diameter.
2. Devil claw tuber contains a variety of components, the pharmacologically active substances are mainly cyclometer store glycosides, containing about 3%, including crocerioside (harp aside) procumbide harp aside (harp aside) and 8 a household a benzofuranyl harp aside, etc., the most important of which is crocus sativus. Cyclic enol ether terpenoids have not previously attracted much attention and the recognition of their wide range of biological activities is only in recent years.
